Well, here we go. Since I don't know the first thing about blogging, I figured I'd begin this blog the way I would begin a drawing when I'm at a loss for ideas — and that is, to just start. To make a mark on the page. To do something. Anything.
Every now and then, I need to remind my brain that not everything it perceives as danger really is dangerous. We live in a relatively safe world, but we're wired in an ancient way to see harm lurking around every corner. So, when it comes to trying a new creative endeavor, my brain likes to chime in, "This is dangerous. You could fail."
But, lucky for us modern creatives, we get to fail in the comfort of our own homes. And, even better: we get to keep trying.
That said, I'm going to make an effort to push past the thoughts that cast doubt on my ability to run a blog and remind my brain that there's no harm in trying.
I can't tell you what the next post will bring, but this should serve as a good platform for ramblings that are too dense to pack into an Instagram story.
If you're out there, see you in the next post, and thanks for reading.
